Gardening with Mary Jo Workshop

When I was a new gardener, I would read gardening instructions but I would not understand exactly how to carry out the instructions out: Should I deadhead underneath the flower or toward the bottom of the stem? Even today after gardening intensely for 30 years, I am always wanting to see how other gardeners are doing things.

I thought others might feel the same way. So I am creating a workshop:

Gardening with Mary Jo

Join me at my home where, for about an hour and a half to two hours, I will share the tips and tricks I’ve learned over the years as we garden together. We will look at different portions of my garden and identify elements that enhance or hinder beauty. What lures or draws you in and what doesn’t? We will divide perennials and you will go home with new plants (if you wish) for your garden. We will look at different plants and understand their conditions for thriving. We will let the garden and your questions be the guide for our activities.

I am offering two sessions: Saturday, May 21 at 10 am and Tuesday, May 24 at 4 pm The sessions will be limited to four people (first come first serve) and cost $40

If you would like to attend please fill out the following form. Feel free to contact me with questions. 413 265-6390 (cell)

533 West Pelham Road Shutesbury MA (We are just over the townline from Pelham and have an Amherst mailing address.)
